Growing up in a small town allowed me numerous opportunities. One of them was getting to witness the coming together of a community to assist those in times of need …
Born in Laredo and raised in Zapata, Texas has indeed been one of the biggest blessings in my life. It was at a very early age that I learned to be compassionate; to lend a helping hand, and that hard work always equals success! As hard workers and educators, my parents instilled in me the love of living life and believing that all things are possible through dedication and determination.
Immediately after high school graduation, I attended Texas A&M International University in Laredo, Texas where I earned my Bachelors of Science in Nursing Degree. It was during my clinical rotations that I came to realize that emergency medicine was the area I was destined to leave my mark upon. In 2012, I was hired by Laredo Medical Center as an emergency department RN where I remained for two years. It was during that time that I obtained bountiful knowledge and expertise in the areas of emergency medicine, critical care, medical-surgical care, pediatric, geriatric, and trauma nursing care. In an effort to expand my career, I also experienced working in home health care, post- operative recovery care, and cardiac catheterization care thus broadening and strengthening my skills as an RN.
In December 2014, the first Free-Standing Emergency Room Center was brought to Laredo, and I was fortunate to be given the opportunity to join the team at Stat Emergency Center. We currently serve the city of Laredo and surrounding areas with quality and timely health care to patients of all ages including minor and major emergencies. I am forever grateful to be part of such a knowledgeable, caring and exclusive team whose primary goal is to provide the community with the top quality health care services they deserve!
